To promote personal and social development and enhance the lives of disadvantaged and disabled people through the culture and spirit of circus arts.

Aims of Cirque Nova
We aim to give those who are experiencing a lack of opportunity the possibility to enjoy the richness and diversity of performing in the circus arts. We are committed to providing high quality work to people who face various levels of disadvantage and marginalisation and our work directly involves people with physical, learning and mental health disabilities, homeless and offending backgrounds as well as children and local schools.

Our Objectives

  1. To improve individual coordination and mobility through high quality training in a range of circus skills.
  2. To involve all participants in creation and development of our shows.
  3. To provide participants with marketable skills in circus arts.
  4. To present public circus & street performances  through mainstream and disability festivals.
  5. To support education and training of circus arts and share good practice.
  6. To engage with previously excluded groups to increase their access to circus arts.
  7. To provide circus skills workshops in schools  & colleges to develop creativity.
